I have always found the opportunities within building a career very exciting! There are many intriguing opportunities! I firmly believe that people can reach their goals; and yes, you can make a living doing things you enjoy, you just have to put in a few years of hard work to get there... I love to see my clients light up, when they realize that there really are career paths suitable for their personalities, which they can look forward to and are within reach.

I have been working as a CV writer and career advisor since February 2007. In order to be able to provide as great a service as I possibly can, I have been attending courses and gathering information from many sources, free of the hubris that now I know enough. Our world is evolving far too quickly and potential career paths are also way too complex, for me to ever believe that.
My goal is to help as many people as possible. After all, I find that people with the more modest means are the ones who have been less exposed to good career tips and so they are the ones that need detailed career guidance even more.
It’s a general trend that people that are fortunate enough to be able to choose a career don’t get enough help to make the perfect choice immediately. This way, too much depends on luck and here’s a typical example of what happens:
Olivia doesn’t like her first profession as a dental technician, because it feels too static and boring with no career prospects she feels excited about. After a few years of work and some studying, she manages to make a move into teaching in a secondary school. It’s not boring anymore, but she realizes that there are significant problems with the education system and has to work in a school, where she is not even completely safe! Eventually, most people find a position that they are at least reasonably comfortable with, but the route to that point could be shorter and easier.
Olivia is not dumb, she just didn’t get enough help to see what lies ahead and what line of work she would find the most satisfying. Do you know what a Business Engineer does? A Foley Artist? A Palynologist? A Haptic Technology Developer? An Ergonomist? Neither do many others. It’s a complex and fascinating world out there, where everyone can find their comfort zone!
